Understanding Pelvic Floor Dysfunction

Pelvic floor dysfunction is a common but often overlooked issue affecting millions worldwide. In the UK, around 1 in 3 women will experience urinary incontinence during their lifetime, and globally, approximately 200 million people are impacted. Symptoms can range from bladder leakage to pelvic organ prolapse and can significantly affect quality of life. Many individuals, including men, particularly those recovering from prostate surgery, suffer in silence and delay seeking help for years.

Introducing BetterPelvi, an innovative, non-invasive treatment designed to strengthen pelvic floor muscles using high-intensity electromagnetic energy. A client review by Debbie

After just five sessions on the PelviChair, I can’t believe the difference it’s made.

My confidence has grown so much. I no longer feel like I have to dash to the toilet before Pilates ‘just in case’, and I don’t panic if I stumble or trip, worrying about leaks. It’s such a liberating feeling.

I’ve always understood the importance of pelvic floor exercises, and I’ve been really good at doing them. But despite all my efforts, they just weren’t quite enough. The PelviChair seems to have taken things to the next level, and I’m already noticing a huge improvement after only five sessions.

One thing that’s really struck me is how little we talk about these issues. It actually upsets me when I see adverts that make bladder leaks seem like a normal part of getting older or having children, because they shouldn’t just be accepted. There are things that can help.

I’ve spent so much of my life investing in other people – encouraging them to chase their dreams, paying for courses, supporting their goals. This is one of the first times I’ve chosen to invest in myself, and I’m so glad I did.

The treatment itself is so simple and easy to fit into my week, and the difference it’s made to my confidence has been worth every minute. If you’re putting up with bladder leaks or pelvic floor problems because you think you just have to live with them, please don’t. I only wish I’d done this sooner.”
