Exciting News: We’re introducing the Pelvi Chair to address pelvic floor health!
At our clinic, we’re thrilled to announce the addition of our new Pelvi chair, and we can’t wait to share how it’s going to make a difference in the lives of many. Pelvic floor health is an often-overlooked subject, but as more individuals come to us with pelvic floor issues, we’re committed to leading the charge in making this conversation more mainstream – and refreshing!
The growing concern: A hidden problem affecting millions
Did you know that pelvic floor dysfunction is more common than many realise? In the UK, about 1 in 3 women will face urinary incontinence at some point in their lives, and globally, around 200 million people are affected. Men are not exempt either; they, especially those recovering from prostate surgery, also experience significant issues. Despite the prevalence of these challenges, many suffer in silence, delaying seeking help for years and often watching their mild symptoms progress to severe discomfort.
In my own experience, after giving birth, I found that pelvic floor recovery was barely mentioned. It’s an all-too-familiar story – we often hear women being told to “do their pelvic floor exercises,” but receive little guidance on how to do them correctly or consistently.

Understanding pelvic floor dysfunction: The reality
The pelvic floor supports crucial organs and, when weakened by factors like pregnancy or menopause, can lead to a range of issues such as bladder leakage, organ prolapse, and changes in sexual function. Unfortunately, many women are left to navigate this state without adequate support.
Men, too, experience challenges that are rarely discussed. We’ve worked with men who face daily urinary leakage and rely on pads, which affects their confidence and mental health. We understand how profoundly these issues can impact quality of life, and it’s a conversation we believe needs to be started – openly and compassionately.
The standard response: Kegel exercises – But why aren’t they enough?
Kegel exercises are often regarded as the foundational treatment for pelvic floor dysfunction. Studies indicate varying success rates, but let’s be real – many people either forget to perform them, lack confidence in their technique, or simply find it challenging to fit these exercises into their busy lives.

Seeking alternatives: The need for non-invasive solutions
While surgery is an option, many feel it’s too drastic. Historically, non-surgical alternatives have had lower success rates and might also be invasive or uncomfortable. However, the landscape is changing, and we’re excited to introduce a groundbreaking solution.
Meet BetterPelvi: A new avenue for pelvic floor health
We are proud to unveil BetterPelvi, a non-invasive and evidence-based treatment that offers a fresh approach to pelvic floor health. Utilising high-intensity electromagnetic energy, the Pelvi chair stimulates the nerves controlling pelvic floor muscles, resulting in strong muscle contractions without any effort on the patient’s part. Imagine receiving thousands of contractions in a single session – all while seated comfortably and fully clothed!
Research-backed results
The evidence is promising. In clinical studies, 75% of patients saw improvement within two months, with benefits continuing even a year later. Patients appreciate this method for its non-invasive nature, lack of discomfort, and high acceptance rates.
