Manual Lymphatic Drainage

lymphatic drainage 2

Lymphatic drainage is an important part of effective management of lymphoedema. It’s a form of massage that stimulates the lymphatic system and encourages the flow of lymph fluid. This helps the lymph system to drain out of the affected area into an area with optimal drainage .

Manual lymphatic drainage (MLD) is a specialised massage technique that should only be practised by trained therapist with all our MDL therapists holding excellent qualifications.

MLD is not painful and helps to reduce the negative effects of lymph build-up and the treatment is applied through normal loose clothing.
