We are honoured to sponsor Neil Joisce, a dedicated para-badminton athlete with a remarkable story of determination and ambition. Neil is aiming to represent Ireland at the Los Angeles 2028 Paralympic Games, and we are excited to support him along this inspiring journey.
Neil’s athletic journey is rooted in a lifelong passion for sports. A former rugby union player who represented England at schoolboy level and competed nationally and internationally, Neil’s focus shifted in 2002 after a life-changing injury to his lower right leg and knee. Despite these challenges, Neil’s dedication, discipline, and talent have propelled him to excel in para-badminton.
Having recently returned from Irish Para-Badminton Training Squad in Dublin, Neil is competing in several UK championships, including Dorset, Cornwall and Devon His next steps include European competitions and a pivotal first international tournament in Egypt in January 2026. Neil’s ultimate goal is to break into the top 50 in the world in his classification (SL3) by the end of 2026.
Beyond his athletic pursuits, Neil is committed to making a positive impact beyond the court. With over 20 years in education (including roles as Head of Sports and Deputy Head Teacher in a special needs setting) Neil recognises the transformative power of sport. In September 2024, he launched ‘Sport 2 Aspire‘, an innovative alternative provision providing a safe environment for students facing challenges in access to mainstream education, harnessing the power of sport to engage, empower, and inspire.

Therapeutics is proud to support Neil not only through our clinical services – offering strength & conditioning (S&C) and sports massage – but also through mentorship and encouragement as he trains and competes. Our Clinic Director, Faith Cripps, brings over 13 years of experience as a physiotherapist for a Paralympic team, ensuring Neil receives expert guidance and support aimed at optimising his performance and recovery.
Neil’s story embodies resilience, passion, and a desire to inspire others. We are honoured to play a part in his journey and look forward to celebrating his successes as he works toward his goal of competing on the world stage at LA 2028.
